Hand-embroidered ski masks — one-of-a-kind pieces
HOODLUMROUGE is a balaclava brand: knitted ski masks turned, one by one, into one-of-a-kind pieces through embroidery and illustration. Skulls, stitched teeth, scars, lettering: every mask carries its own drawing, its own name and its own phrase.
Nothing is mass-produced. Each piece is numbered, made for one person only, then filed in the collection's archives once it has gone to its owner. You don't add one to a cart: you book an appointment, talk through the project, and the ski mask is made to order.

Made to order, never mass-produced
A HOODLUMROUGE ski mask always starts with a conversation. Booking an appointment is mandatory: that's where the colors, the designs, the lettering and the person the piece is for get decided. After that, count on about 1 month of work.
Every piece stays one-of-a-kind: an ordered mask is never reproduced. That's why most of the balaclavas in the collection are marked “sold”: they stay visible here, like pages in a case file, to show what has been made and to spark ideas.
Knit, embroidery, illustration
The pieces in the collection mix textile work and drawing: the knit balaclava is the base, then the embroidery marks it. In the photos you can see thick, deliberately irregular stitches, threads left loose, sewn-on letters and mouths full of teeth. The materials used on the current pieces are orlon, acrylic, cotton and silk.
Some pieces come with a box made just for them, in cardboard covered with small drawn skulls, closed with a wax seal. The details of each piece are in its file: photos, materials, phrase, status.
