Embroidered skull ski masks

The skull keeps coming back in the HOODLUMROUGE world: on the logo, on the boxes, and on three ski masks in the collection. No printed skull here, no pattern repeated identically: each skull is embroidered and drawn by hand, straight onto the knit, and exists only once.

Three pieces, three different skulls

Nº 2 is a brown balaclava. The face is treated as a skull: a mouth outlined in red thread, filled with white teeth, and red lines running down from the forehead like scars. It comes with a phrase in Esperanto, “Kiu elektas liberecon, portas cikatrojn” — whoever chooses freedom bears scars.

Nº 3 is black. On the lower face, a large skull motif is embroidered in thick, irregular white thread. White letters (SK, AGVG) and a cross sewn in red complete the drawing. It was made for Sk Error 404 and comes with a box in cardboard, wax, watercolor ink and silver.

Nº 7 is gray, covered in black marks and raised red shapes. Its mouth, outlined in black, shows white teeth; the name NAZRAT is embroidered on the forehead. It was first made for Nazrat 777, with its own box, and carries a phrase in Russian: the warrior in his garden does not wish for chaos to return, but stays ready to face it.

Why an embroidered skull ski mask rather than a printed one

A print can be reproduced endlessly; hand embroidery can't. The thread gives the skull relief, the stitches never land in the same place twice, and the loose threads are part of the drawing. That's what makes each of these ski masks a one-of-a-kind piece rather than a model.

These three pieces have found, or are waiting for, their owner (the status is shown on each file). For a skull of your own — knit color, skull shape, lettering, phrase — the piece is made to order, after an appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Is every ski mask one-of-a-kind?

Yes. Every HOODLUMROUGE ski mask is numbered, embroidered and illustrated by hand for one person only. A piece is never reproduced exactly the same.

Can I buy a ski mask from the collection?

All the pieces in the collection are sold: they stay online as an archive. To get one, you order a new piece in the same spirit — never a copy.

How do I order a custom ski mask?

Write through the contact page to book an appointment: booking is mandatory before any piece is made. The whole process is laid out on the custom order page.

How long does it take to make a ski mask?

About 1 month of work after the appointment.

How do I wash an embroidered ski mask?

By hand, in cold water, without rubbing the embroidery, then dry it flat. Every step is on the care guide page.
